Georgina Economides, manager of Gina’s Unisex Hair & Beauty Salon, said: “I want to help raise awareness of medical hair loss and the help available to those affected by the condition.
“Our Sunday Funday event is open to everyone to enjoy and we hope all who come along have some fantastic fun while helping to raise funds for mynewhair.
“I feel very passionately about helping people feel like they have hair and not just a wig. After witnessing the appalling service my Mother in Law received when battling cancer I was driven to research into course on how to cut hair. Thanks to mynewhair I have completed several training courses allowing me to provide a wig-customisation service at my salon.
“Whether you’re up for a great day of fun activities, raffles and games or would like to find out more about mynewhair please come along and take part in our fundraising event.”
Trevor Sorbie MBE, founder of mynewhair, said: “We are truly grateful for Gina’s Unisex Hair & Beauty Salon’s support. We greatly value the work and fundraising that our hair professionals do to support people who suffer from medical hair loss – and we wouldn’t be able to do it without salons like Gina’s!
“We wish Gina’s salon’s Sunday Funday all the best and hope everyone goes along to help raise awareness and have a great day.”
